A few days ago, RSPVH was involved in our annual Garang Guni event, which took place over two weeks.
It was an interesting experience for our volunteers, as it allowed us to understand the everyday struggles of the less fortunate.
While this garang guni event has allowed for us to gain funds and more importantly, friendships that will last for long times to come, it is also important to remember that while most of us, such events are enjoyable and fun.
Yet, for many of the elderly who are doing these garang guni on a regular basis as their jobs, they often do not have the luxury of enjoying their work the same way we do.
Consequently, it is vital for us to be kind to the people around us, remembering that everyone is fighting a war which we know nothing about. Therefore, let us go forth and do good, providing for and aiding those whom we can, and for those we think we cant, to shower them with tender loving care.
"Everyone is fighting a war we know nothing about. Be kind, always."
Attached, please find the images from the event. Special thanks to WSC PnP for the awesome pictures, especially the hardworking photographers Yunzhi and Jie Xin. :)
